    Description
    Map showing the location of the settlement of Boston amongst the many peninsulas and islands that occupy this estuary of the larger Massachusetts Bay. The town of Boston can be seen towards the northwest of the map, just south of Charlestown. Other settlement are also shown on the map including Weymouth and Hingham in the south, which are both now part of the Greater Boston metropolitan area.
