    Description
    Map of Charlestown in South Carolina, where the Cooper River and the Ashley River meet. The town is seen surrounded by fortified walls and with a smaller fort across the channel to the south. The surrounding areas is otherwise undeveloped with a single road leading into Charlestown from the northwest.
