    John ZacharyYoung (1907-1997) British zoologist and neurophysiologist was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1945. He was awarded the Royal Medal in 1967 in recognition of his outstanding researches correlating neural structure with function. He delivered the Ferrier Lecture in 1950 and the Croonian Lecture in 1965.
