Oval, within a printed decorative border. Printed inscription: “SIR LEOPOLD McCLINTOCK. Lock and Whitfield. Woodbury Process.” With an original printed sheet containing a brief biography of the subject.

Sir Francis Leopold McClintock was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1865.
