    Head and shoulders portrait of Thomas Martyn within an oval frame, with a botanical illustration of leaves and flowers surmounting the portrait. Martyn is shown in academic dress with a black coat and white squared collar. Below the portrait is an illustration of three Cambridge University buildings: King’s College Chapel, the Public Library and Senate House.
