Description
Full-length standing portrait of Murray Maxwell in the uniform of a Royal Navy captain, with his bicorne hat held in his left hand. He is shown facing towards the right, as viewed, with a medal prominently displayed on his lapel and a sabre held in a sheath on the left side of his belt.
