His posture is turned slightly towards his left, with his left hand is placed on his chest. He is seen wearing a shoulder-length wig and is looking out towards the viewer. Engraved from life by the artist.

    Roger Pickering (c.1720-1755), British clergyman, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1744.
