Description
Half-length portrait of William Pulteney in ceremonial robes. He is shown turned towards his left and looking out towards the viewer. He is seen wearing a long, curled wig and a fur collar. Engraving after a painted portrait now in the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery collection.

William Pulteney, 1st Earl of Bath (1684-1764), British politician, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1744.
