Half length portrait of Ure with two teenaged family members [?] to his right and left. Ure is holding an umbrella and looking to camera.
Oval, but printed on rectangular paper and card mounted. Inscribed in pencil lower left “Dr Andrew Ure F.R.S.”
Andrew Ure was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1821.

This portrait is not signed, but Ure’s age, dress and umbrella resemble those of the sitting for the Diamond portrait of Ure acquired by Prince Albert and held in the Royal Collection Trust (RCIN 2800656). The Royal Society also has a copy of this print.
