Oval, head and shoulders portrait with long natural hair, dark coat and white squared collar.
Inscribed below: “WILLIAM VISCOUNT STAFFORD See Burnet p- [illegible] Pub.1st. May 1818, by T.Rodd. 2. Gt. Newport St. Long Acre.” In pencil, lower left “1664” and lower right “1/-“.
William Howard, Viscount Stafford, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1664.
