Description
Three quarter length studio portrait of Thomas Graham Balfour seated at a table upon which rests a book and inkwell.
Printed below the image: “MAULL & Co. LONDON”. The reverse is variously inscribed: printed “Maull & Co. Photographers, 55 GRACECHURCH STREET, 187A, PICCADILLY and TAVISTOCK HOUSE, FULHAM ROAD, LONDON.” There is a pencilled negative number: “38103”.
John Hutton Balfour was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1858.
