Description
Full-length studio portrait of J G Bonner seated on a wooden armchair. Bonner is reclining with his left hand resting on a book upon a side table. An inkwell is also on the table. The sitter is turned to the right as viewed. Behind is a patterned curtain and wainscot.

John George Bonner was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1840.
