    Description
    Full length studio portrait of Sir Charles Bunbury, standing with one elbow leaning upon a wooden chair, his legs crossed. Bunbury is in near-profile facing to the left as viewed. Various articles of furniture are placed around him, with a painted landscape backdrop and balustrade acting as a curtained window.

    Printed below the image: “MAULL & POLYBLANK, LONDON.” The reverse has various inscriptions. Printed: “MAULL & POLYBLANK, Photographers, 55, GRACECHURCH STREET, and 187a, PICCADILLY, LONDON.”

    Sir Charles James Fox Bunbury, 8th Baronet, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1851.
