Description
Full length studio portrait of Arthur Cayley standing against a painted backdrop of a landscape with a curtain or drape to the right as viewed. Cayley rests his right hand against a fake balustrade and there is a chair to the right of picture.

Arthur Cayley was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1852.
