Description
Full length seated studio portrait of Warren de la Rue, turned to the left as viewed. De la Rue’s right hand rests upon a table upon which is an inkstand; his left hand is on the wooden chair arm. Behind, a plain drape with a tasselled tie.

Warren de le Rue was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1850.
