    Plate 11, figure 1, from the paper "Observations on the structure of the stomachs of different animals...", by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.97 (1807), pp.139-179. Showing the human stomach inverted to show its internal surface. The work is inscribed above with the plate number and below "Human to show the Glands & contraction. Natural Size." Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso. Embossed lower left "Bristol Paper." Subsequent plate figures, nos. 2 and 3, are attached to this illustration by red sealing wax.
