    Plate 21 figures 1-6 from the paper "Farther observations on the feet of animals whose progressive motion can be carried on against gravity", by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.106 (1816), pp.322-330. Six views and details of legs from an unspecified variety of cricket from Abyssinia ("Gryllus") at x9 and x100 magnification. The paintings are inscribed above with publication and plate details, the latter repeated. Signed lower left "Franz Bauer". Royal Society stamp verso with an inscription in ink "Fig: 1. magnified 9 times. Figs: 2,3,4,5,6 100 times."
