    Description
    Plate 1 from the Croonian Lecture paper "A farther investigation of the component parts of the blood", by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.110 (1820), pp.1-10. Section through an 'anuerismal tumor' with two views of crystalized salts under magnification. Figure 1 appearing here on the bottom of the plate was moved in the published version, the subject of a pencilled note to the engraver, lower left: "NB Figure 1 to be placed at the top of the Plate." The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso.
