    Plate 3 from the Bakerian Lecture paper "On the composition and analysis of the imflammable gaseous compounds resulting from the destructive distillation of coal and oil, with some remarks on their relative heating and illuminating powers", by William Thomas Brande, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.110 (1820), pp.11-28. Three figures showing an Argand burner (figures 1 and 2) and a rose burner (figure 3). The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed lower left "Wm. Tite delt." Royal Society stamp verso.
