    Plate 12 from the paper "On the milk tusks, and organs of hearing of the Dugong", by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.110 (1820), pp.144-155. Side view of the skull of a dugong (Dugong dugon) with a section of the tusk, both from a Sumatra specimen provided by Thomas Stamford Raffles. With a copy figure of a dugong skull by Georges Cuvier. The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed lower left "W H Clift del.." Royal Society stamp verso.
