Description
Plate 13 from the paper "On the milk tusks, and organs of hearing of the Dugong", by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.110 (1820), pp.144-155. Base of the skull of a dugong (Dugong dugon) with milk tusks; with details of the permanent tusk appearing in situ and a section of the adult tusk. The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed lower left "W H Clift del.." Royal Society stamp verso.
