Plate 29 from the paper "Particulars respecting the anatomy of the Dugong, intended as a supplement to Sir T.S.Raffles account of that animal", by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.110 (1820), pp.315-323. A portion of the trachea (figure 1) and lungs (figure 2) of a male dugong (Dugong dugon). The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso. Inscribed verso "Fig 1. Rings of lower portion of Trachea. Fig 2. Section of the Lung. The cells largest on the surface". Watermarked "W Turner & Son".
