    Plate 39 from the paper "Observations on the changes the egg undergoes during incubation in the common fowl", by Everard Home, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.112 (1822), pp.339-356. Three figures showing the egg at eighteen days' development with the egg opened to show the embryo in situ: and the embryo dissected to show the yolk being drawn into the body. With publication and plate details inscribed. Signed lower left "Franz Bauer del." Royal Society stamp verso.
