Plate 49 from the paper "Observations on the genus planaria", by James Rawlins Johnson, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.112 (1822), pp.437-447. Seventeen figures pasted onto a backing sheet, showing the species: P.cornuta; P.torva; P.brunnea; and P.lactea. With publication and plate details inscribed. Initialled lower left "J.R.J.delint." Royal Society stamp verso. Watermarked "G&A 1818".
