Plate 3 for the paper “An account of the Turkey”, by Thomas Pennant, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society vol. 71 part 1 1781 pp.67-81. Showing a turkey leg and spur. Inscribed verso: “A Turkey killed at Downing Jan 1776 with a toe & claw resembling that of a Buzzard aff’xed to a strong bone issuing from the thigh”. Not signed.
