Description
Plate 10 figure 29 for the paper "Observations of nebulae and clusters of stars, made at Slough, with a twenty-feet reflector, between the years 1825 and 1833", by Sir John Frederick William Herschel, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, v.123 (1833), pp.359-505. The object is illustrated with a scale of 0-2 minutes below, not on the published plate. Inscribed verso, in pencil, "57 Mess[ier]. Between Beta and Gamma Lyrae." With right ascension, North polar distance and sweep numbers.
