    Plate 12 figure 36 for the paper "Observations of nebulae and clusters of stars, made at Slough, with a twenty-feet reflector, between the years 1825 and 1833", by Sir John Frederick William Herschel, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, v.123 (1833), pp.359-505. A study of Messier 78 in the constellation of Orion, with a scale of 0-5 minutes which does not appear on the final plate version of the illustration. Inscribed verso, in pencil, "78 Messier...sweeps 107,113". With right ascension and North polar distance.
