A three-quarter length seated portrait of the dissenter. Price wears a high-collared black coat and wig. His left arm leans against a table on which there is a copy of the Analogy of religion by Joseph Butler (1692-1752). He holds a sheet of paper, with a pair of spectacles in his right hand. The background bookcase volumes are not identifiable.
