Botanical study of a specimen of physalis, inscribed: "Alkekengi Barbadense, patulum, parvo flore, fructu amplo, mucrone productioni Act. Phil n.399." A specimen of this plant was noted in "A catalogue of the fifty plants sent from Chelsea Garden, presented to the Royal Society...1726", by Isaac Rand, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society vol.35 (1729), p.293.
