    Sir James Earle was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1794.

    Noted in Catalogue of the prints in the possession of the Royal Society, by Henry George Plimmer FRS (1856-1918), manuscript, p.19. J.P.Gassiot Collection, purchased 1878. The original drawing for this work, one of a series of prints copied by Daniell from George Dance’s original work, is in the National Portait Gallery London, NPG 3089 (5).
