Description
Oval half length portrait of Prince Frederick dressed in armour with an ermine trimmed robe held in place by a jewelled clasp at the shoulder and wearing a shoulder length wig.
Inscribed: “His Royal Highness Prince Frederick, &c. Fountain pinx. Sold by I: Smith at the Lyon & Crown in Russell Street Covent Garden”. In pencil lower left “Elected 1728”
