    Inscribed: “R.White ad vivum delin et sculpsit. JOHANNES FRYER M.D. Societatis Regiae Lond. Socius. In pencil lower left “1697” an dlower right “3/-“.

    John Fryer was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1697.
