Inscribed: “A.Wivell Delt. J.Cochran Sculpt. Hudson Gurney Esqr. M.P. Plate 12. Proof London, Published June 24th. 1823, by A.Wivell, No.40 Castle Street East, St Marylebone.” In pencil, lower left “1818?”.
Hudson Gurney was elected a Fellow of Royal Society in 1818.
