Description
Half-length portrait of Sir John Meurig Thomas standing before a glazed bookcase. Thomas faces the viewer directly, gesturing with his left hand and holding a specimen of crystals [Meurigite] upright in his right hand. Thomas wears spectacles and is dressed in a blue suit with light blue shirt and red, white and blue striped tie. Over this, red and white academic robes.
