Inscribed in pencil: "Page 12. Young Hyaena. Lower jaw with one shedding molaris, and two permanent ones not perfectly formed." Fossil found at Oreston quarry, near Plymouth in Devon. Inscribed with publication and plate details. Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso.
