    Description
    Marine zoological study of the Atlantic white-spotted octopus (Octopus macropus). The cephalopod is presented with details views, including from beneath and in motion.

    Plate 24 in the section “G.Poulpe” from the book Histoire naturelle generale et particuliere des cephalopodes acetabuliferes vivants et fossiles.., by André Étienne d'Audebert de Férussac (1786-1836) and Alcide Charles Victor Marie Dessalines d'Orbigny (1802-1857) (Paris, 1848). Various inscriptions, including below: “Verany ad Nat. delin. Chaxal ad lapid. Delin. O.Macropus, Risso.”
