Description
Marine zoological studies, figures A-F. Figures A-C show a barnacle with ‘polypes’ adhering to it and sections of both. Figure D is the shell of ‘Limax marina’, a marine mollusc. Figure E is the ‘Hairy Crab’, possibly the Shaggy Sponge Crab Dromidia hirsutissima [from the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa] shown with the thorax extended. Figure F is the ‘Herringbone coralline’, apparently a variety of sea-fan [from the Island of St Helena].
